Welcome
Surface Creek Animal Shelter is an adoption guaranteed shelter located in western Colorado, in the Surface Creek Valley. The shelter houses 8 dog runs and approx 30 cats. It is operated by a small staff & volunteers, a Board of Directors and funded through donations, grants & community support. It also operates the Shelter Shoppe Thrift Store.

Every day is adopt a shelter pet day. We have many sweet dogs and cats looking for their loving forever home. There is nothing more rewarding than rescuing a fur baby!
