Mission
Companion animals of Surface Creek Valley community are rescued from hunger, thirst, pain, injury, disease, discomfort, fear, and distress; Surface Creek Animal Shelter provides community welfare and gives companionship and support in forever homes.

It operates the Surface Creek Animal Shelter and the Shelter Shoppe Thrift Store in Cedaredge, Colorado.

"A clean place. The folks who run it are good to visit with about the pet you are interested in. They have completed a lot of landscaping with trails and paved stone walkways for the animals to get out into the fresh air and get daily exercise. There's a room dedicated for the cats to play. They have put a whole lot of effort into making this shelter a place for lost and stray animals to be properly cared for while seeking their adopter."
